On the morning of May 26, leaders of the People's Committee of Tan Thuan commune confirmed that a case of abandoned children had just been discovered in the commune.
According to the announcement of the People's Committee of Tan Thuan commune, Hung Yen province, at 8:30 PM on May 24, 2026, in the campus of Tay Ho Pagoda, Dai An village, Tan Thuan commune, Hung Yen province, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thai, born in 1956, permanently residing in Dai An village, Tan Thuan commune, Hung Yen province, discovered a child of about 3 years old abandoned outside the gate of Tay Ho Pagoda, Dai An village, Tan Thuan commune, Hung Yen province. Next to the child, there was a brown bag containing 1 milk rack, 6 pants, 4 shirts, and 1 skirt.
The abandoned baby is female, without identification papers attached. The baby is 0.91 m tall; weighs 12 kg, short hair, has a small white scar of 0.5 cm located next to the left hip line. Currently, the heart and lungs are normal.
Currently, the baby is being temporarily assigned by the People's Committee of Tan Thuan commune to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thai for care and nurturing during the time of finding relatives.

Tan Thuan Commune People's Committee announces that anyone who is the biological father, mother or relative of the child, please contact directly with Tan Thuan Commune People's Committee, Hung Yen province (through the Office of the People's Council and the Commune People's Committee) to carry out procedures to reclaim the child.
After the deadline for public posting, if there is no information about the child's father, mother and relatives, the People's Committee of Tan Thuan commune will notify Ms. Nguyen Thi Thai, Dai An village, Tan Thuan commune, Hung Yen province to temporarily raise the child to carry out registration procedures.
