On the evening of September 16, according to information from the People's Committee of Ban Lien commune (Bac Ha), by 5:00 p.m. the same day, the search force found the body of victim Lam A H (born in 1989, Tay ethnic group, residing in Doi 3 village) who was swept away by flood on the afternoon of September 10 and proceeded to hand it over to the family for burial according to local customs.
Before that, at 3:00 p.m. on September 10, Mr. H, his father and brother went to check the rice fields, electricity lines, and water lines.
When reaching the landslide, Mr. H went around the dry stream. At this time, the landslide suddenly continued with a large amount of rock and soil flowing down the stream, causing Mr. H to be swept away and missing.
