Lam Dong - Functional forces have found the bodies of 2 of the 3 people missing after the drowning incident on the Dong Nai River.

On June 19, the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police said that by 10:40 am on the same day, rescue forces had found the bodies of 2 victims in the case of 3 people missing on the Dong Nai River.

The two victims found were Mr. Doan Manh Tai (37 years old) and his nephew Doan Manh Nguyen (16 years old, Mr. Tai's son).

The bodies of the victims were discovered in the downstream area of Dong Nai Hydropower Plant, in Dinh Trang Thuong commune, about 200m from the accident site at Da Dang 1 bridge.

Currently, functional forces continue to expand the search area to soon find the remaining victim.

Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported: In the afternoon of June 18, a group of 4 people came to swim in the Da Dang 1 bridge area, the border section between Phuc Tho Lam Ha commune and Dinh Trang Thuong commune, and were unfortunately swept away by water. Local people promptly rescued 1 person ashore safely.

The three missing people include Mr. Doan Manh Tai, nephew Doan Manh Nguyen and nephew Doan Van Kim Phat (14 years old, residing in Tan Ha Lam Ha commune).

Immediately after the incident occurred, more than 100 people from the police, military, Fire and Rescue Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police and local people were mobilized to participate in the search.
