The information was confirmed by Gia Phu Commune People's Committee at 7:40 am on August 2, closing the night-long search journey full of difficulties in Cheo Bau village.
Previously, at about 5 pm on August 1, heavy rain occurred in the area, causing flooding, landslides and cutting off many roads.
At about 7 pm, people discovered a motorbike stuck in a stream in Cheo Bau village and reported it to the local authorities. After that, the family coordinated with the local forces in Cheo Bau village to organize a search and determined that 3 people were missing.
Immediately after receiving the information, Gia Phu Commune People's Committee mobilized police, military, militia forces, and people in the village to deploy search operations according to the "4 on-site" motto.
The verification process showed that T.T. L (born 2012) was driving a motorbike carrying two younger siblings, T.T. N (born 2021) and T.T. T (born 2023) going to work in the fields but did not return.
By the night of August 1st, functional forces successively found two victims including T.T. L (born 2012) and T.T. N (born 2021). By the morning of August 2nd, the body of victim T.T. T (born 2023) was discovered.
Local authorities have completed procedures to hand over the body to the victim's family to take care of the funeral according to local customs. At the same time, visiting and encouraging families of victims.
