In the afternoon of August 1st, heavy rain occurred in Cheo Bau village, Gia Phu commune, Son La province, causing 3 children to go missing. Local authorities have mobilized more than 120 people to participate in search and rescue.
According to a quick report from the Commune People's Committee, at about 7 pm, people discovered a motorbike stuck in the roadside railing area.
After that, the family coordinated with functional forces to organize a search and determined that there were 3 missing people, including child T.T. L (born 2012), child T.T. N (born 2021) and child T.T. T (born 2023), all residing in Cheo Bau village, Gia Phu commune.
At about 8 pm on the same day, rescue forces found baby T.T. N in the old Bau stream area, about 500-700 meters from the location of the motorbike.
At 10 pm, baby T.T. L was found in the stream area of Na Lanh village, about 2-3 km from the location where the motorbike was discovered. Both victims had died.
Currently, functional forces are still continuing to search for baby T.T. T. Rescue work is being deployed overnight with the participation of police, militia, local authorities and people from neighboring villages.
