On October 14, rescue forces found the body of a missing victim in a motorboat crash into a pontoon pole on Duong Van Duong canal, passing through Tan Thanh commune, Tay Ninh province.
The authorities have completed the autopsy, prepared documents, and handed over the body to the family for burial.
Previously, according to the report, Mr. N.P.X (39 years old), residing in Dong Thap province, and his brother-in-law left home in 2 boats to spread a fishing net on the Duong Van Duong canal.
While fishing, when moving to the canal section near Tan Thanh bridge in Tan Thanh commune, Tay Ninh province, the motorboat driven by Mr. X suddenly crashed into a pontoon bridge on the river.
The strong collision caused the boat's bow to break, Mr. X fell into the water and went missing.
The brother-in-law who was with him immediately turned his boat back to search, and called for help from people in the surrounding area.
However, due to the strong river water and the time of the incident at night, the initial search had no results.
Upon receiving the report, the authorities and local people quickly arrived at the scene, organized a review and zoning of the river area where the incident occurred. The rescue force used a motorboat, a net and lighting to search along both sides of the river, and at the same time notified households living along the river to support observation and provide information if they discovered any unusual signs.
At around 3:00 a.m. on October 14, the authorities found Mr. X's body, about 2km from the collision site.
