On the evening of October 13, the authorities of Tay Ninh province and local people are still trying to find a man who was reported missing on a river in Tan Thanh commune, Tay Ninh province.
According to initial reporting information, in the early morning of the same day, Mr. N.P.X (39 years old, living in Dong Thap province) and his brother-in-law left home on two separate boats to spread a fishing net on the river flowing through Tan Thanh commune. While fishing, when moving to a section of the river, Mr. X's boat suddenly collided with a pontoon post in the middle of the river.
The strong collision caused the boat's bow to break, Mr. X fell into the water and went missing. Seeing this, the brother-in-law who was with him immediately returned to search and called for help from people in the surrounding area. However, due to the strong river water and the time of the incident when it was still dark, the initial search had no results.
Upon receiving the report, local authorities and people quickly arrived at the scene, organized a review and zoning of the river area where the incident occurred. The rescue force used a motorboat, a net and lighting to search along both sides of the river, and at the same time notified households living along the river to support observation and provide information if they discovered any unusual signs.
As of the evening of October 13, the search is still ongoing, but there are still no signs of the victim's whereabouts. Currently, relatives have expanded the search area.
Currently, the authorities are verifying and investigating the cause of the incident, and continuing to search the river where Mr. X was reported missing.
