On August 23, the leader of Tan Thanh commune, Ninh Binh province, said that the body of a woman who went to catch snails and went missing after 3 days of searching had been found.
The woman who went missing to catch snails was identified as Ms. T.T.V (born in 1978, residing in Tan Thanh commune). After many days of searching, Ms. V was discovered to have been hit by a landslide, leading to her death.
Currently, the authorities are looking for a way to get Ms. V's body out.
As Lao Dong reported earlier, the representative of Ms. V's family said that Ms. V lived alone, without a husband or children, and had been making a living by going to the forest to catch snails for many years.
"Normally, Ms. V only goes out for a day, but this time, she left home early on August 20 and has not returned, so the family went to look for her and reported it to the local authorities. When leaving, Ms. V did not bring a phone, only a bag to store snails," said Ms. V's family representative.
