On August 22, the leader of Tan Thanh commune, Ninh Binh province, said that the local government had mobilized nearly 40 more forces to search for Ms. Tran Thi Van (born in 1978, residing in Tan Thanh commune) who went missing while fishing in the forest since August 20.
During the 2 days of searching, the police, military, militia and family carefully checked the mountainous areas in Tan Thanh commune. Due to the lack of results, the search area has been expanded to the surrounding area and will continue to expand.
Currently, the search is still being urgently deployed by the authorities.
Speaking further to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, the representative of Ms. Van's family said that as of this evening (8.22), Ms. Van had not been found. Mrs. Van lives alone, without a husband or children, and has been making a living by going to the forest to catch snails for many years.
"Normally, Mrs. Van only goes out for a day, but this time, she left home early on August 20 and has not returned, so her family went to look for her and reported it to the local authorities. When leaving, Mrs. Van did not bring a phone, only a bag to store snails," said the representative of Mrs. Van's family.
