On September 14, information from the People's Committee of Dien Bien province, the Department of Education and Training of the province just organized the opening ceremony of a training and field training course for officials of Udomxay and Phongsai provinces (Laos).
The training course takes place for 6 weeks, from September 14 to October 15, 2026.
Among the 14 trainees, there are 9 officials from Udomxay province and 5 officials from Phong Saly province, working in the fields of health, education and training, agriculture and environment, culture - sports - tourism, science and technology.
During the study period, students are trained and exchange expertise at many agencies and units of Dien Bien province.
Education management content is implemented at the Department of Education and Training; medical expertise at the Provincial General Hospital; agriculture and environment at the Department of Agriculture and Environment; information technology, digital transformation at the Department of Science and Technology; tourism business management at the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Students will also visit some historical relics and cultural works in Dien Bien Phu ward and go on field trips to some educational and training institutions in the province.
Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Doat requested units to strengthen two-way exchanges, share practical experiences; and at the same time encourage students to actively raise issues in the locality to jointly find appropriate solutions.
The training course contributes to improving the capacity of officials and strengthening cooperation between Dien Bien and the northern provinces of Laos.
