Can Tho City People's Committee has a report sent to the City People's Council preparing for the regular mid-year meeting on the results of thrift practice and waste prevention in the first 6 months of 2026 and directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2026.

In which, regarding the use of civil servant and public employee payroll, the payroll management of Can Tho City is carried out strictly, in accordance with the Party's guidelines and legal regulations.
Can Tho City People's Committee directs agencies, units and localities to base on the decision to assign payroll in 2025 (with a total of 62,355 payrolls) of competent authorities to pay salaries and control salary payments from January 2026 (during the time before the Central Organization Committee assigns payroll in 2026).
Regarding job positions, Can Tho City People's Committee has directed the Department of Home Affairs to guide agencies, units and localities to develop a Project on job positions for civil servants and public employees; civil servant rank structure, public employee structure according to professional titles in administrative agencies and public non-business units according to regulations.
Regarding staff streamlining, in the first 6 months of 2026, Can Tho has approved the list of subjects for staff streamlining according to the provisions of Decree No. 154/2025/ND-CP for 481 cases, with estimated expenses of about 117 billion VND.
Implemented in the last 6 months of 2026, the report of Can Tho City People's Committee said that it will continue to streamline the organizational structure; promote staff streamlining associated with improving the quality of the contingent of cadres, civil servants, and public employees.
