In the early morning of August 13, while people were still sleeping, the flood brought mud, trees, and gravel, cutting off many areas, threatening their lives and property.
Early in the morning, officers and soldiers of Da Huoai 3 Commune Police (Lam Dong Province) were present, quietly and bravely deploying flood prevention plans. According to Chairman of the People's Committee of Nguyen Van Trinh commune, this was a historic flash flood, the water poured in too quickly and unexpectedly, leaving people unable to react.
Proactively grasping the situation, the Commune Police promptly warned, were on duty 24/7, deployed forces at vulnerable points, guided and supported people to move to safety.

In emergency situations, officers and soldiers of Da Huoai 3 Commune Police quickly wore life jackets and covered the flooded roads to regulate traffic.
Police officers and soldiers also placed warning signs and instructed people to stay away from areas where floodwaters rose high and flowed rapidly. In particular, the police force also coordinated with units to approach deeply flooded areas, taking people to safety.
When the water receded, soldiers continued to be present at each household, supporting in clearing mud and soil, cleaning the house, helping people stabilize their lives soon. The image of a soldier in a life jacket, holding a broom and sweeping each layer of wet mud on the floor left a deep impression on the spirit of "serving the people".

On August 14, the People's Committee of Da Huoai 3 commune organized a special reward for collectives with outstanding achievements in rescue work, supporting people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
The units that were awarded include: Da Huoai 3 Commune Police, Commune Military Command, Defense Area Command No. 3 - Bao Lam and Engineering Battalion 37 (Brigade 293).
This is the force that was present at the front line on the night of August 12 to the morning of August 13, when heavy rain caused flash floods and landslides, promptly evacuated people, rescued property, opened a road to overcome landslides, and ensured the safety of people's lives.
According to statistics, the flash flood caused one person to break his arm while fleeing the flood; 4 houses collapsed or cracked walls; a shop was completely swept away; about 100 houses were flooded 0.51m, damaging many household appliances; dozens of pumps were swept away; 35 hectares of crops, including hundreds of durian trees, were uprooted.
Many bridges, culverts, and residential roads were eroded and damaged, with total damage estimated at nearly 9 billion VND.
