On August 14, information from the Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor said that the unit and the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Trade Union (TKV Trade Union) had just had a working session to deploy a coordination program.
At the meeting, Mr. Le Thanh Xuan - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the TKV Trade Union informed that the unit manages 5 grassroots trade unions located in the new Lam Dong province after the merger.
These trade unions include: Dak Nong aluminum Company Trade Union; Lam Dong aluminum Company Trade Union; Lam Dong aluminum Bauxite Project Management Board Trade Union and Dong Nai 5 Hydropower Company Trade Union. The number of union members and workers in these 5 unions is more than 2,000 people.
Mr. Xuan requested that these units regularly coordinate their activities with the grassroots trade unions of Lam Dong province in the same area. Through these activities, the trade union takes care of improving and enhancing the lives of workers and contributes to building local development.
All union activities must be suitable to the situation and conditions at the grassroots level and the culture in the locality. Therefore, it is very necessary to connect and exchange experiences between unions in the same area, affirmed Mr. Le Thanh Xuan.
Speaking at this meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation, Head of the Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union Work Committee - Mr. Doan Van Su highly appreciated the activities of units under the TKV Trade Union.
Mr. Su said that in recent times, units under the TKV Trade Union have effectively organized activities to care for union members and workers. In particular, these units jointly organize many cultural and sports activities among union members and workers in the locality...
In the coming time, the unit and the TKV Trade Union will strengthen movements and activities at the grassroots level, so that union members and workers can exchange and connect more closely with each other.
This will contribute positively to building a stronger workers' movement and trade union organization in Lam Dong locality, Mr. Doan Van Su emphasized.
