On February 8, information from the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee said that the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has just issued Directive No. 08-CT/TU, requesting to tighten discipline and order in site clearance (GPMB), considering this a major "bottleneck" that needs to be removed to promote development.
The directive clearly states that it is necessary to resolutely replace weak, irresponsible officials who show signs of avoidance and shirking in organizing site clearance. In case of project delays or "hot spots" arising due to subjective reasons, the head of the commune-level Party Committee and government will not be assessed as completing their tasks, and may even be transferred or replaced.
The Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee emphasized that direct and ultimate responsibility belongs to the head of the locality. At the same time, it is requested to strictly handle party members whose land is recovered but do not comply with regulations, causing obstruction to project progress.
Along with disciplinary action against officials, the province requests to strengthen dialogue, publicize and transparently disclose policies on compensation, support, and resettlement; ensure that people have full access to information, and limit the occurrence of mass and over-level complaints.
According to provincial leaders, strongly rectifying the team and replacing weak officials in site clearance is a key solution to remove bottlenecks, accelerate the progress of key projects, and create room for economic growth in the period 2026 - 2030.
