On the occasion of preparing to welcome the traditional Tet of the nation - Binh Ngo Spring 2026, on February 5th, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, visited and wished Tet to Venerable Thich Thanh Dung, Deputy Supreme Patriarch cum Chief Secretary of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Certification Council; along with venerable monks, nuns, and Buddhists at Ham Long Pagoda, Nam Son ward, Bac Ninh province.
Receiving the delegation were Venerable Thich Thanh Dung, Vice Dharma Master cum Chief Secretary of the Certification Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Venerable Thich Thanh Trung, Deputy Head of the Executive Board of the Buddhist Sangha of Bac Ninh province.
Speaking at the visit, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Huong expressed her respect and deep gratitude for the important contributions of the Venerable to the cause of propagating Buddhism, building the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to become increasingly strong, as well as positive contributions in social security work, consolidating the great national unity bloc in the province.
On this occasion, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong briefly informed the Venerable, Most Venerable and Venerable Monks about the outstanding results in socio-economic development and Party building work of Bac Ninh province in 2025.
The province's economic growth rate reached 10.27%, ranking 5th in the country, 4th in the Red River Delta region; state budget revenue reached 76. 208 billion VND; the investment environment continued to improve, attracting 5.7 billion USD of investment capital; social security work was ensured, the poverty rate of the whole province is still 0.56%.
Stepping into 2026, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Huong wished the Venerable, Most Venerable and venerable monks, nuns, and Buddhists to continue to promote their prestige and role; accompany local Party committees and authorities in propaganda and mobilization of monks, nuns, and Buddhists to well comply with the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State; actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, charity and humanitarian activities, contributing to building Bac Ninh province to become increasingly developed, civilized, and prosperous.
On behalf of the Venerable Monks, monks, nuns, and Buddhists, Venerable Thich Thanh Trung expressed his deep gratitude for the concern of the provincial leaders, and affirmed that he will continue to promote the role and responsibility of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Bac Ninh province, mobilizing monks, nuns, and Buddhists to unite and accompany local authorities in building their homeland and country.
On the occasion of the New Year, the Venerable sent wishes for a peaceful and happy Binh Ngo Spring 2026 to the provincial leaders and all cadres, civil servants, public employees, and people of Bac Ninh province.
