On November 14 and 15, Colonel Le Van Uy - Political Commissar of the Air Force Officer School and the working delegation visited Dak Lak to visit and present a letter of thanks from the Commander of the Air Defense - Air Force to the units that found the Yak-130 aircraft.
Colonel Le Van Uy, along with representatives of the Air Defense - Air Force and representatives of the Air Force Officer School, expressed their deep gratitude to the Military Command, Border Guard, and Dak Lak Provincial Police.
On behalf of the delegation, Colonel Le Van Uy also expressed his deep gratitude to the People's Committees of Ea Sup and Buon Don districts, the rangers of Yok Don National Park and the people of Dak Lak province for coordinating with the authorities to search and rescue the Yak-130 aircraft.
According to Colonel Le Van Uy, the search for the Yak-130 aircraft clearly demonstrated the solidarity and coordination between the armed forces for the common mission of the army and the country; at the same time, it demonstrated the bond between the army and the people, always overcoming all difficulties and hardships to complete the assigned tasks.
On this occasion, the Political Commissar of the Air Force Officer School presented certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with achievements in supporting the search and rescue of the Yak-130 aircraft, contributing to the cause of protecting the Fatherland's sky, for the peace and happiness of the people.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, at around 11am on November 6, the Yak-130 training aircraft had an accident, so the two pilots in the flight crew, Colonel Nguyen Van Son and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Quan, parachuted out of the aircraft.
The location of the two parachuting pilots' escape is in Tay Xuan commune (Tay Son district, Binh Dinh province).
The Yak-130 training aircraft (serial number 2101) that had the accident belonged to Air Force Regiment 940, Air Force Officer School located in Binh Dinh province.
On the afternoon of November 8, authorities found the wreckage of a crashed Yak-130 military aircraft. The plane crashed in Sub-area 428 of Yok Don National Park, Krong Na commune, Buon Don district, Dak Lak province.
