Total control of transport vehicles: 267 cases fined in Hanoi on the first day of operation

Hanoi - On the first day of the general inspection, traffic police controlled 655 transport business vehicles, detecting 267 violations.

On the morning of August 27, information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Hanoi City Police said that, implementing the plan of the Traffic Police Department - Ministry of Public Security and Hanoi City Police on general control and handling of violations of traffic order and safety on roads for transport business vehicles, right on August 26, units under the Hanoi Traffic Police Department simultaneously launched to deploy plans at assigned routes and areas.

Accordingly, the traffic police force focuses on patrolling and controlling on key national highways, expressways, steep, winding roads with limited visibility; areas where vehicles frequently violate regulations by stopping, parking, picking up and dropping off passengers, transporting goods improperly, posing a potential risk of traffic accidents.

On the first day of implementation, the traffic police force controlled 655 vehicles, including 316 passenger transport business vehicles and 339 cargo transport business vehicles; detected and handled 267 violations, fined about 489.85 million VND, deducted driving license points in 29 cases, revoked badges in 4 cases and temporarily seized 1 vehicle.

In which, for passenger transport business vehicles, the traffic police force handled 163 cases, with fines of about 140.05 million VND, and deducted points from driver's licenses in 6 cases.

Notable violations include stopping and parking 122 cases; carrying goods in passenger compartments 7 cases; operating passenger transport under contracts not in accordance with regulations 2 cases; and some violations such as picking up and dropping off passengers not in accordance with regulations, going against traffic, going into prohibited roads, prohibited hours, going into emergency lanes and changing lanes not in accordance with regulations.

For business vehicles transporting goods, the traffic police force handled 104 cases, fined about 3498 million VND, deducted points from driver's licenses in 23 cases, revoked badges in 4 cases and temporarily seized 1 vehicle.

Some notable violations include overloading in 19 cases, oversized in 11 cases, entering prohibited roads, prohibited hours in 10 cases, speeding in 5 cases, entering emergency lanes in 4 cases, stopping and parking in 58 cases, and violations of vehicle lifespan in 1 case.

According to the plan, from now until the end of September 25, 2026, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department will mobilize forces and vehicles to conduct general inspection and handle violations against passenger and cargo transport vehicles in the City, contributing to raising awareness of law compliance, preventing traffic accidents and ensuring traffic order and safety.
