On the last night of the old year, the central area of Ho Chi Minh City continues to be a familiar rendezvous for a large number of people and tourists. Lights, flower colors and the sound of spring music blend together, making the urban space bright in the transitional hours.
At Nguyen Hue flower street for Binh Ngo Tet 2026, streams of people stretch through the walkways, eagerly visiting and taking photos. The central square area is always crowded when many families and groups of young people take the opportunity to capture the last moments of the year with mascots and elaborate spring scenes.
Ms. Duong Thi Co (resident of Tang Nhon Phu ward) shared: "Every year my family goes out to the flower street to celebrate Tet. The atmosphere is very cheerful, the children like it very much. Just take a walk, take a few pictures and you can see Tet is really coming.
Meanwhile, Mr. Dang Khoa (Binh Loi Trung ward) said that he and his group of friends were present early. "At the end of the year, everyone is busy, so this is a rare occasion for friends to meet fully. Both spring travel and waiting for New Year's Eve are very meaningful" - Mr. Khoa said.
The festive atmosphere also attracted a large number of international tourists. Many people expressed excitement when experiencing Vietnamese Tet for the first time in a space filled with brilliant flowers and lights. Mr. Sinisa Kuzmanovic - a tourist from Serbia shared: "I am very impressed with the bustling atmosphere, everything is filled with light and very vibrant, as well as the beauty of the miniatures imbued with traditional culture".
In the Bach Dang wharf area and surrounding parks, the number of people gathering is increasing as the New Year's Eve moment approaches. Many families actively choose places early to wait to watch fireworks.
Besides entertainment spots, the Ho Chi Minh City Tet Book Street Festival also recorded a stable number of visitors. Book space, giao lưu activities and art performances create a gentle stop in the bustling atmosphere of the streets.
Functional forces were strengthened in many areas to ensure security and order, regulate traffic and support people. Although the flow of people is very large, the general atmosphere is still safe and civilized.
