On May 11, the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police announced a plan to adjust traffic organization on some central city roads to serve the 5th Ho Chi Minh City Night Run 2026.
Accordingly, from 8:00 PM on May 16 to 5:30 AM on May 17, functional forces temporarily stopped vehicles from circulating on Truong Dinh street, the section from Nguyen Du street to Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street, to construct the starting and finishing gates and serve the race.
The alternative route includes: Truong Dinh - Nguyen Du - Cach Mang Thang Tam - Nguyen Thi Minh Khai - Truong Dinh street.
In addition, from 11:45 PM on May 16 to 3:45 AM on May 17, it is temporarily prohibited for 2-wheeled vehicles to circulate in the mixed lane along the riverbank of Vo Van Kiet street in the direction from Cho Quan ward to Saigon ward, the section from Huynh Man Dat street to the roundabout in front of the State Bank of Vietnam.
Alternative route: Vo Van Kiet - Huynh Man Dat - Tran Hung Dao street - move in all directions.
For distances of 5 km, 10 km and 21 km, functional forces will restrict vehicles from circulating on roads belonging to the race route during the organized hours.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that people when traveling through the race area reduce speed, comply with the instructions of functional forces and traffic signal systems to ensure safety.
