Lunar New Year 2026 bonuses in Ho Chi Minh City increase by 6.8% compared to 2025
According to the summary of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs, by the end of December 25, 3,802 businesses (using more than 694,300 workers) in Ho Chi Minh City reported on the salary situation in 2025 and bonus plans for workers during the New Year and Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026.
The highest bonus level belongs to enterprises in the electronics - information technology industry; food processing; software development; real estate business... Small-scale manufacturing enterprises and enterprises using simple labor have lower bonuses.

Tan Son Nhat airport will welcome 130,000 passengers/day during the New Year holiday
According to information from Tan Son Nhat International Airport (HKQT), the 2026 New Year holiday is expected to be a peak period with a sharp increase in passenger volume. The average passenger volume is forecast to reach 131,000 arrivals/day, an increase of 17% compared to the same period last year. In particular, in the two peak days (January 1 and 4, 2026), the number of passengers may reach 135,000 arrivals and about 786 flights take off and land each day.
The most important change during this holiday is the terminal traffic diversion plan to reduce overload. Ho Chi Minh City Police arrest debt collection group related to Le Phong Gia Lai Company

On December 30, Ho Chi Minh City Police informed that they had prosecuted and temporarily detained 15 subjects related to property extortion gangs disguised as businesses trading debts, operating in an organized manner, inter-provincial in nature.
The investigation process determined that many property extortion cases were related to Bac Nam Debt Trading Co., Ltd., Security - Security - Debt Trading Service Co., Ltd. and Dat Bac Debt Trading Co., Ltd.
