Can Gio Bridge
The Can Gio bridge project is expected to be grounded on January 15, 2026. The project has a total length of about 6.3 km on the entire route, of which the section crossing the Soai Rap River is nearly 3 km long, and the rest is the access road system and bridges on the route.
The bridge is designed with 6 lanes (4 motorized lanes, 2 mixed lanes), design speed of 80 km/h, cable structure with two tower pillars, and a navigation clearance of 55 m.
The project passes through Nha Be and Binh Khanh communes, with a land use demand of about 28.85 ha.

The preliminary total investment of the project is about 13,201 billion VND, of which the component project is compensation, support and resettlement with Ho Chi Minh City budget capital (about 2,533 billion VND); the bridge construction part is implemented under BT contracts (build - transfer) with a total capital of about 10,668 billion VND.
Expected to be completed in 2029, Can Gio bridge will replace Binh Khanh ferry, directly connecting Can Gio district with the center of Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring areas, creating a development boost for the southern coastal area of the city.
Phu My 2 Bridge
On the same day, January 15, 2026, Ho Chi Minh City also plans to inaugurate Phu My 2 bridge. The project has its starting point at Nguyen Huu Tho street (Ho Chi Minh City), ending point at Lien Cang street (Dong Nai), with a total length of about 6.3 km, of which the section passing through Ho Chi Minh City is 4.6 km long.
The bridge is invested with 8 lanes (6 car lanes, 2 mixed lanes). Because there are some sections on the route, such as Hoang Quoc Viet road with a small road boundary, it will be a two-story elevated road, helping to increase the traffic capacity of all types of vehicles and limit compensation and site clearance.

The preliminary total investment of the project is about 23,185 billion VND, of which the cost of site clearance, compensation, and resettlement is about 4,365 billion VND. The project is invested under a BT contract, paid by the land fund and the Ho Chi Minh City budget.
Expected to be completed in 2029, Phu My 2 bridge will form a new connecting axis between the South of Ho Chi Minh City and the South of Dong Nai province, while increasing access to Long Thanh International Airport.
Can Gio - Vung Tau road and sea bridge
The road and sea bridge project connecting Can Gio - Vung Tau is expected to start construction in June 2026, and be put into operation in the second quarter of 2029.
The project has a total length of about 14.67 km, of which the sea bridge section is nearly 11 km long, with a scale of 4 motorized lanes and 2 mixed lanes, design speed of 60 km/h. The bridge uses a cable-stay structure, the main span is 600 m long, and the clearance for navigation is 55 m. The access road section is nearly 3.8 km long, with a design speed of 80 km/h.
The route starts at Bien Dong 2 road (Can Gio sea encroachment urban area) and ends at Sao Mai - Ben Dinh road, intersecting with 30/4 road (Tam Thang ward).

The project has a total estimated investment of about 104,410 billion VND under the BT contract. The investor mobilizes 100% of owner's equity and commercial loans; The State pays with a counterpart land fund.
When completed, the road and sea bridge will form the only and shortest coastal connecting axis between Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau, shortening travel time to about 10 minutes, while creating motivation for tourism development in Can Gio, Long Son Industrial Park, improving the exploitation capacity of Cai Mep - Thi Vai port cluster and reducing the load on National Highway 51.
Thu Thiem 4 Bridge
The Thu Thiem 4 bridge project is expected to start construction in the fourth quarter of 2026 and be completed in the fourth quarter of 2028.
The project has a total length of the entire route of more than 2.1 km, of which the bridge section is more than 1.6 km long, with a scale of 8 lanes, and a navigation clearance of 15 m.
The starting point of the project is on Nguyen Van Linh street (Tan Thuan 2 bridge intersection area), the ending point connects Nguyen Co Thach street to the North - South axis of Thu Thiem New Urban Area.

The total estimated investment is about 5,063 billion VND from the Ho Chi Minh City budget. The project is divided into 2 components including compensation, resettlement support (1,385 billion VND) and bridge construction (3,678 billion VND).
When completed, Thu Thiem 4 bridge will contribute to completing the network connecting Thu Thiem New Urban Area, shortening the distance from the East to the South, and reducing traffic pressure for key axes such as Ton Duc Thang, Nguyen Tat Thanh, Huynh Tan Phat - Nguyen Van Linh and Tan Thuan Industrial Park area.
