On August 16, at the Memorial Site of General Secretary Le Hong Phong (Hung Nguyen Nam Commune, Nghe An Province), the Party Committee, local government and people held a flag-raising ceremony, with the participation of representatives of the Nghe An Monument Management Board, leaders of localities and a large number of cadres and people.
The ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere, expressing the respect and gratitude for the great contributions of comrade Le Hong Phong - a resilient communist soldier, an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh.

The memorial site of General Secretary Le Hong Phong is located in Hung Nguyen Nam commune (Hung Thong commune, the old Hung Nguyen district), about 10km southwest of Vinh city. This is a majestic, solemn architectural work in the peaceful countryside, ranked as a National Historical Relic since 1990. This place not only preserves many valuable artifacts and documents about the life and revolutionary career of General Secretary Le Hong Phong but is also a "red address" to educate the revolutionary tradition and patriotism for the younger generation.

In a campus of more than 31,000m2, the Memorial Area has two main areas: The original relic area includes the House of the Mother from the Road, the house of paintings - where comrade Le Hong Phong cried and cried, the Golden Heart...; The Memorial Area includes the Memorial House, the Guest House, the Document and Photo Exhibition House and artifacts associated with his revolutionary life.
Every year, the Memorial Site welcomes tens of thousands of cadres, party members, students and tourists from all over the world to offer incense, offer flowers, visit and study. This place regularly organizes traditional educational activities such as admitting party members, union members, honoring outstanding students, learning about the Party's affection, or field trips serving political training.
On the same day, leaders and people of Nghe An province simultaneously held a flag-raising ceremony and walked in the program "Marching with Vietnam".
The event was organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025).
