Van Phu ward was established on the basis of arranging the natural area and population size of Van Phu ward, Phuong Lau commune, Hung Lo commune and Kim Duc commune of former Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province.
Hung Vuong Avenue is the "backbone" road of Viet Tri city in the past, passing through central wards such as Viet Tri, Thanh Mieu, Nong Trang and Van Phu.
The project to renovate and upgrade the traffic road from Hung Vuong street to Cultural House area 2 - Kim Duc, Van Phu ward is approved according to Decision No. 1147/QD-UBND dated December 10, 2025 of Van Phu Ward People's Committee.
This project has a total investment of nearly 49.5 billion VND invested by the Van Phu Ward Project Management Board. Package No. 8: Construction of the project started selecting contractors from mid-May 2026.
According to the reporter's investigation, on June 17, the Van Phu Ward Project Management Board issued a decision approving the contractor selection results for the above bidding package.
According to the decision, Toan Thinh Joint Stock Company is the winning enterprise of Package No. 08: Construction of works - winning bid price of nearly 31.7 billion VND; the implementation time of the package is 360 days.
Thus, the above-mentioned contractor will officially deploy the construction of renovation and upgrading of the road from Hung Vuong Avenue to the Cultural House of Zone 2 - Kim Duc, Van Phu ward.
According to the project dossier, the total length of the renovated and upgraded section is 2.8km, the design complies with technical indicators for level IV traffic works.
The renovated and upgraded section has an average roadbed width of 6.5m, an average road surface width of 3.5m, an average reinforced curb width of 1m on each side... the road surface uses asphalt concrete.
The contractor will also construct items such as: Intersection and people's roads; drainage works; traffic safety (traffic sign system, signposts, signal paint lines); lighting.
According to the investor, the project is invested with the goal of renovating and upgrading the quality of the transport infrastructure system, creating a spacious urban appearance, and promoting socio-economic development.
