On the morning of September 13, Vinh Hoang Commune Police (Quang Tri Province) informed that at around 6:00 p.m. on September 12, a refrigerated truck with license plate 74C-090.xx driven by driver L.V.T (born in 1989, residing in Cua Tung Commune, Quang Tri Province) carrying 2 people carrying goods, was moving from Vinh Linh Commune to Vinh Hoang Commune when the accident occurred.
When arriving at Team 2, Thuy Trung village (Vinh Hoang commune), due to the darkness, steep and curved road, and not being familiar with the terrain, driver T could not control the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to flip over and hit the rear side of the house of Ms. N.T.T (born in 1961, residing in Vinh Hoang commune).
The accident injured one person traveling with the motorbike in the right leg, gave first aid on the spot and transferred him to the hospital by a specialized vehicle of the Commune Police. The driver and the other person suffered minor scratches. The truck was severely damaged, part of Mrs. T's house was crushed.
Immediately after the incident, Vinh Hoang Commune Police coordinated with the Traffic Police Department of Quang Tri Province Police to arrive at the scene to regulate traffic, conduct an examination and assist in handling the case.
At 11:30 p.m. the same day, the Vinh Hoang Commune Police, the village security team and local people supported the unloading of all frozen goods to other vehicles for storage, and at the same time took the crashed vehicle away from the scene.
According to Vinh Hoang Commune Police, the vehicle owner voluntarily accepted responsibility and coordinated with Ms. T.'s family to overcome the consequences, and reached a civil settlement to repair the damaged house.
