On December 5, Khang Dien Housing Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company started the project to renovate Le Loi Street, Saigon Ward according to a plan agreed upon with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction.
The project aims to be completed before December 31, 2025, aiming to create a new look for the central city before 2026.

Le Loi route is nearly 950 m long, connecting Ho Chi Minh City Theater with the area in front of Ben Thanh market, passing through many iconic intersections and works such as Rex Hotel, Caravelle, Continental, Saigon Centre and Takashimaya. The renovation scope includes cleaning, repainting the vertical surfaces of the houses, rearranging the signs according to standards, paving the sidewalk with granite, renovating the median strip and adding green space.
Recorded at the construction site, the construction unit has surrounded the median strip with corrugated iron, bringing mechanical equipment, materials and human resources to the site. Workers are dredging the old paint layer, treating moss, and cleaning the surfaces of the works to prepare for the simultaneous construction phase on December 7.

According to the People's Committees of Saigon Ward and Ben Thanh Ward, the results of the previous survey showed that most household owners and construction workers agreed to paint the facade. Ben Thanh ward alone has 64 projects under renovation, including 22 apartments, 38 collective houses and some individual houses. Most of them agreed to do it for beauty, just hoping that the construction would limit the impact on trading activities.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung, a street vendor, shared: "The house where I have been renting for several years now has lost color on the frontage and is located near large projects, so its old condition is even more obvious. This renovation is very necessary, as long as it is done quickly and compactly so as not to affect people's lives".
Many tourists also expect Le Loi Street to become a street with a face worthy of the center. Ms. Hoai Thu, a tourist from Hanoi, said: Le Loi route is located in the middle of a commercial area but has a degraded section. I think, after completion, this place will be more beautiful and attractive to tourists like the central streets in many big cities.
According to the schedule, the entire Le Loi route renovation project will be completed before December 31, 2025. When completed, the street is expected to become a synchronous and modern landscape space, increasing tourism attraction and creating a new vitality for the central area of Ho Chi Minh City.
