Billion-dollar district medical center in Thai Nguyen comes into operation

After many years of construction, the Medical Center Project with an investment of nearly 100 billion VND in the poor district of Vo Nhai has been completed, helping to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment.

The project to build a new treatment building and purchase equipment - Vo Nhai District Medical Center (Thai Nguyen) has a total investment of over 89 billion VND, capital from the Central Budget supporting the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program.

The project will be implemented in 2022, the treatment building is designed with 5 floors with a total floor area of 8,100m2.

This is a group B project, in the form of public investment, the Provincial Department of Health is the unit that prepares the investment proposal report, and the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Council issues the Decision on project investment policy.

According to the reporter's records in mid-January 2025, after about 2 years of implementation, the project to build the Vo Nhai district medical center has been completed and put into operation.

Inside, the space is spacious, airy, clean, and equipped with modern medical equipment, helping to improve and enhance service quality and meet the needs of local people for medical examination and treatment.

Ms. Ma Thi Cuc (Vo Nhai district) said that at first, when hearing the news of the project's implementation, she and the people in the area felt very happy and excited.

According to Ms. Cuc, in the past, whenever they had health problems, especially long-term illnesses, they often had to travel far to access quality medical services. Travel expenses were a significant burden for poor families, especially the elderly and ethnic minorities.

When the health center is completed and put into operation, medical examination and treatment will become more convenient. The center will not only provide basic services but also specialized services that people previously had to travel far to access.

"Previously, dialysis patients had to travel far for treatment. Now, with dialysis services at local medical centers, people are cared for on the spot, reducing the burden on their families.

I hope that in the future, the center will provide more specialized medical services to meet the needs of medical examination and treatment in the area," Ms. Cuc shared.

On January 15, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Ha Van Ra - Director of Vo Nhai District Medical Center said that the treatment building project will be completed from November 2024.

"This is a very meaningful project in the medical field, helping to improve and enhance the quality of medical examination and treatment. Currently, at this facility, we are provided with many modern equipment such as artificial kidney dialysis machines, X-ray machines...

People now do not need to travel far for medical examination and treatment, helping to save time and treatment costs," Mr. Ra added.
