By the morning of November 6, the authorities of coastal localities in the eastern part of Dak Lak province had completed the storm prevention and control plan.
In particular, the People's Committees of communes and wards coordinate with the Border Guard to be ready to evacuate people from vulnerable areas that are at risk of being isolated during floods.
Localities also ensure adequate food and medicine for people in case of natural disasters.
Mr. Tran Van Bien - Chairman of Tuy An Dong Commune People's Committee said that there are currently 553 fishing vessels in the commune anchored safely at Le Thinh Gate, Van Cuoi River and Tien Chau Fishing Port.
The whole commune has no more ships operating at sea. The police, military, border guards and people have coordinated to tie and anchor to ensure safety.
"For 3,154 aquaculture cages, households have basically harvested and are continuing to tie and relocate to air-conditioned areas. People are also instructed to harvest crops early and move livestock to safety, Mr. Bien added.
Mr. Vo Ngoc Thach - Chairman of Song Cau Ward People's Committee emphasized that the combat teams at the facility are ready to respond and support people when the storm makes landfall.

Mr. Ta Anh Tuan, Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, said: "Storm No. 13 is a very strong storm. From now until the storm makes landfall is the "golden time" to prepare for storm prevention and control. The evacuation of people needs to be carried out earlier than the Government's direction".

On the morning of November 6, storm No. 13 Kalmaegi was still moving towards the mainland, with the strongest wind near the storm's center reaching level 14 (150 - 166km/h), gusting to level 17. The storm is moving west-northwest at a speed of about 30km/h.
At 4:00 p.m. the same day, storm No. 13 continued to move in the West Northwest direction, at a speed of 25 - 30km/h. At this time, the center of the storm is about 120km east of Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh province). The strongest wind near the storm center is still at level 14, gusting to level 17.
A warning of natural disaster risk due to a Category 4 storm has been issued for the area between the East Sea and the sea from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak.
