The first 4-story school on the land that used to be a cemetery in Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City - After more than 7 months of construction, the 4-story school on the land once the largest cemetery in Ho Chi Minh City has reached about 85% of the construction volume.

Amidst the vast green space of the land that used to be Binh Hung Hoa cemetery (belonging to Binh Hung Hoa ward), the 4-story green-painted school has clearly shown its shape. After more than 7 months of urgent construction, the Tran Dai Nghia Primary School construction project has now reached about 85% of the progress.

Recorded at the construction site, the rough part of the school is basically completed. Construction teams are speeding up the completion phase, including items: wall painting, tiling, installation of technical infrastructure and auxiliary works.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of Binh Hung Hoa Ward People's Committee said that the project is expected to be inaugurated around the first quarter of 2026.

In parallel with the completion of the primary school, the local government is actively promoting the investment project of the secondary school (THCS) and leveling the ground within the cemetery phase 3. Currently, the secondary school item has officially started construction, in order to meet the learning needs and expand the education land fund for the area.

Currently, functional forces are focusing on carefully reviewing the list, publicizing project information and ensuring legal procedures to accelerate the final relocation progress. The conversion of land use function from cemeteries to civil and social infrastructure projects is expected to bring a new modern face, effectively serving the lives of local people in the future.
