On August 8, Da Nang City authorities promptly prevented and extinguished a fire on a hill, preventing the fire from spreading to the forest in the City Cemetery area (Hoa Khanh Ward, Da Nang City).
According to initial information, on the morning of the same day, people discovered the fire breaking point in the An Phuoc Vien crematorium, the City Cemetery and reported it to the authorities. Immediately afterwards, Hoa Vang Forest Protection Department, Hoa Khanh Ward authorities, Fire Prevention and Rescue Police and 4 specialized fire trucks quickly approached the scene to put out the fire.

The fire location was on a hill, exposed to strong sunshine and winds, causing many difficulties in fire fighting. However, the forces have coordinated synchronously, isolated and sprayed water to control. At around 12:15, the fire was completely extinguished, with an area of about 3,000m2, mainly forest cover and wild plants, outside the planning of 3 types of forests. The cause and damage are being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
