Schools in Dak Lak close gates, parents who arrive late are not allowed to attend meetings

Dak Lak - A school in the area has closed the gate to prevent parents from being late for the new school year meeting.

On September 19, some parents with children studying at Victory Primary, Secondary and High School (Dak Lak province) came to the school to attend the parents' meeting at the beginning of the school year but could not enter because they arrived after the prescribed time and the school gate had been closed.

Mr. T (resident in Buon Ma Thuot ward) said that the parent meeting was announced by the school to start at 8 am. Due to losing time looking for parking spaces, he arrived at school late, so he was not allowed to attend the meeting.

Representatives of Victory Primary, Secondary and High School confirmed that on September 19, the school organized 2 parent meetings at the beginning of the school year. The morning meeting started at 8 am, for parents of about 1,900 primary school students.

The afternoon meeting starts at 2 pm, for parents of about 1,500 secondary and high school students.

According to the school, the school gate will be closed after 15 minutes from the start of the meeting.

The time and location of meetings have been announced to parents in advance. In the invitation letter, the school also requested parents to be present 10-15 minutes before the meeting time.

When the regulated time comes, the school gate will be closed to ensure security and order, and at the same time limit parents from entering and leaving while the meeting is taking place, causing disruption to the program.

A school representative said that in case parents cannot attend or come after the gate is closed, the homeroom teacher will proactively provide information and exchange necessary content for parents to fully understand.

The school also requests parents to respect the common time that has been announced in advance. Most parents have arranged their work to be present on time, so complying with the time will contribute to ensuring the meeting takes place according to the plan.

According to research, in previous school years, the school had received feedback from parents about the situation that some people came late to the meeting, causing the meeting to be affected, while parents who were present on time had to wait or interrupted the exchange process.

From this reality, the school includes regulations on attending meetings on time in the content of notices sent to parents, in order to limit the situation of entering and leaving when the meeting is taking place.
