At around 11pm on August 14, Mr. P.A.T (born in 2002, residing in Truc Cat 2, Hai An Ward, Hai Phong) was driving a motorbike from Ngo Gia Tu to Cat Linh Pagoda. When he reached house number 230 Cat Linh, Mr. T stabbed himself in the gate of house number 230 Cat Linh. As a result, Mr. T was injured and taken to Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital for emergency treatment. However, due to the seriousness of the wound, Mr. T died.
The preliminary cause was determined to be that Mr. T did not pay attention and did not control the speed, leading to a traffic accident.
Previously, at around 7:20 p.m. on the same day, August 14, a serious accident also occurred at km 43+100 of National Highway 18 in Tran Nhan Tong Ward. A tractor-trailer driven by Mr. L.X.V (born in 1986, residing in Yen Khanh commune, Ninh Binh province) traveling from Hai Phong to Quang Ninh collided with a motorbike driven by Mr. D.T.D (born in 2003, residing in Kenh Mai Residential Area, Tran Nhan Tong ward) traveling in the opposite direction. As a result, Mr. D was injured and taken to the Chi Linh Ward Medical Center for emergency treatment and died.
The initial cause was determined to be that Mr. D was driving the vehicle in the wrong direction, causing the accident. The road where the incident occurred had no lighting.
