In recent days, relevant units have been urgently completing preparations for the inauguration ceremony of the project to build the new Nam Dinh - Lac Quan - coastal road. This is a project with a total investment of about 6,400 billion VND; the total length of the route is 24.66km. Currently, vehicles can travel on the entire route.
The route is on a level I plain road, with a design speed of 100km/h, a roadbed width of 39m, an 8-lane road surface, and a clearance of about 100m across the entire route. The bridge and culvert sections on the route are designed synchronously, ensuring compliance with the scale of the road.

The starting point of the route connects with the project of the southern axis of the old Nam Dinh city in Nam Cuong and Hong Quang communes, Nam Truc district, the old Nam Dinh province (now Nam Truc commune and Hong Quang ward, the new Ninh Binh province). The end point connects with the coastal road construction project through the old Nam Dinh province at the intersection of the coastal road with National Highway 37B.
According to the Nam Dinh Construction Investment Project Management Board, the new Nam Dinh - Lac Quan - coastal road is expected to help reduce the load on National Highway 21, which is currently very narrow, shortening the time for transporting goods and passengers from coastal communes of Ninh Binh province, to Hanoi capital and provinces and cities in the Red River Delta.
In addition, on December 19, Ninh Binh province will simultaneously inaugurate 5 key projects in the area.
