Recently, the Lang Son Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board has just held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project to build a traffic route connecting Huu Lung Industrial Park, Provincial Road 245 with National Highway 31 - My An Port (Bac Giang, now in Bac Ninh province).
The route is nearly 5 km long, designed according to the standards of a grade III mountainous road, with a maximum speed of 60 km/h; a 9 m wide roadbed, a 6 m asphalt concrete road surface, with a synchronous drainage, protection and traffic safety system.
The total investment of the project is 147.7 billion VND, expected to be completed in 2027.

The project's goal is to create a regional linkage axis, connecting transport infrastructure between Lang Son and Bac Ninh, meeting the increasing demand for freight transportation from industrial parks in the South of Lang Son to logistics centers and industrial parks and clusters in Bac Ninh.
The project promises to promote industrial production, creating more jobs for local workers.
Mr. Hoang Van Truong (Tan Thanh commune) shared: I work in purchasing and transporting seaweed and longan from Bac Giang to Lang Son. Every time of the season, the car has to travel a long distance, taking nearly an hour. If there is this route, goods will go quickly, keep the air fresh, and the selling price will also be higher. We are looking forward to the opening day.

Mr. Dinh Ky Giang - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Lang Son - said that My An Port is located on the Luc Nam River, convenient for waterway transport connecting through the region with Hai Duong and Quang Ninh. This is also an area oriented to develop port clusters, contributing to the completion of inter-provincial traffic infrastructure.
In Huu Lung, there are currently 7 industrial parks being planned, notably VSIP Industrial Park - the largest in Lang Son - and Ho Son 1 and Hoa Son 1 Industrial Clusters under implementation.
With this potential, the new route is an important connecting circuit for Lang Son to connect extensively with Bac Ninh, opening up trade opportunities and attracting investment, Mr. Giang affirmed.
Sharing his expectations for the project, Mr. Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that this is a project of strategic significance, in line with the planning of the Northern midlands and mountainous areas, contributing to the local socio-economic breakthrough.

He also said that the Provincial People's Committee has requested investors to closely follow the process, ensure quality, progress and safety; closely coordinate with relevant agencies and the People's Committee of Tan Thanh commune to promptly handle all problems.
The leaders of Lang Son province also commented that when the route is completed, it will not only help Huu Lung close the gap with new growth poles, but also open up opportunities for service development, tourism and investment attraction.
