On the afternoon of January 26, Fansipan Legend media representative informed that at 2:20 p.m. the same day, at the station area near the top of Fansipan, snow suddenly appeared, covering the trees and grass, creating a rare scene.
According to the representative, when the snow appeared, the temperature was around -2 degrees Celsius. However, at the top of Fansipan, there was no snow yet, and in the Sa Pa town area, there was only rain, no snow.
Accordingly, the extremely cold air mass created a scene that can only be found in Europe right on the top of Fansipan. The enchanting scene made many tourists who came to visit before Tet At Ty extremely excited.
In 2021, snow covered the Roof of Indochina, up to 60cm thick, creating many impressive scenes, attracting many tourists and photographers to Fansipan. This year, such heavy snowfall is expected to continue, if the weather conditions in the coming days are as cold as forecast.
At 3,143m high, Fansipan – the highest mountain in Vietnam – is often the first place to receive snow. The forecast for the coming days is that the weather in the North will continue to be immersed in cold air, so it is likely that visitors will experience a Northwestern New Year in impressive snowfall at Fansipan.
