Hanoi - The traffic jam has caused many people to not find a convenient location to watch fireworks at My Dinh, they only heard the loud explosions of fireworks in regret.

On the evening of September 2, a brilliant fireworks display to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day was launched at many locations in Hanoi, including the Water Sports Palace, National Sports Complex, and Tu Liem Ward.

However, according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, the large number of people and vehicles pouring into this area caused serious traffic jams on surrounding roads such as Le Quang Dao, Chau Van Liem, Me Tri... .

From 8pm, the traffic was dense, many people had to park their vehicles kilometers away and then walk towards My Dinh. As of 9:00 p.m., many people were still struggling in the sea of people, unable to find a suitable location to watch the fireworks.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa (35 years old, Yen Hoa ward) said that his family left at 7:30 p.m. to watch the fireworks in My Dinh at 9pm, but after only traveling more than 1km, they had to stop because of the traffic jam.

"We had to park our vehicles far away and squeeze in on foot. When I arrived, there was too much, I could not clearly see the fireworks display, I could only hear the explosion, said Mr. Hoa.

Sharing the same sentiment, Ms. Le Thu Trang (26 years old, Ha Dong ward) shared that it took her and her group of friends more than 1 hour to get to My Dinh area, but the fireworks have started.

"There were so many people that we could not witness the fireworks lighting up in the sky with our own eyes, but could only hear loud, repeated explosions. I felt both regretful and tired after having to jostle for a long time, said Ms. Trang.

The city has a total of 5 fireworks display locations including 6 high-altitude fireworks display locations combined with low-altitude and fireworks. High-altitude fireworks display combined low-altitude and fireworks (2 locations). Site No. 1 in front of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper headquarters, Hoan Kiem ward. Location No. 2 in front of the Hanoi Post Office, Hoan Kiem Ward.

Fireworks display at high and low altitudes (4 locations). Site No. 3 at Coconut Island, Thong Nhat Park, Hai Ba Trung Ward. Location No. 4 in front of the Water Sports Palace, National Sports Complex, Tu Liem Ward. Site No. 5 at Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, Tay Ho Ward. Site No. 6 at Van Quan lake, Ha Dong ward.

High-altitude fireworks have a total of 3,600 fireworks 600 fireworks per location); low-altitude fireworks have a total of 540 displays (each location = 90 displays); the fireworks display takes place in 15 minutes; the fireworks display takes place from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on September 2.
