On the afternoon of September 3, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, Mr. Tran Cam Tu - Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat chaired a working session with the Standing Committee of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee, giving opinions on the draft documents and the personnel project of the Party Committee to submit to the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Also attending were Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh - Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government; Nguyen Duy Ngoc - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee; Le Hoai Trung - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs.
On the side of Lao Cai province, there were Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Huy Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and key leaders.
On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong reported to the Politburo on the results of socio-economic development after the merger and preparations for the new Provincial Party Congress.
Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee successfully organized 103 affiliated Party Congresses 15 days earlier than required, carefully preparing the draft Political Report, Review Report, Personnel Project and Action Program.
During the document development process, Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee promoted democracy, gathered the intelligence of cadres, party members, and people; and at the same time, widely collected opinions from experts, scientists, and central departments, ministries, and branches.
The report identifies the theme of the 2025 - 2030 term Congress as: "Building a clean and strong Party and political system; promoting the strength of great national unity; creating a breakthrough to turn Lao Cai into a growth pole, a center for international trade connections, green, harmonious development, identity, and happiness".
Speaking at the meeting, leaders of the Politburo and the Secretariat highly appreciated Lao Cai's serious preparation and suggested that the province should concretize solutions, clarify ways to overcome limitations and bottlenecks, and ensure feasibility in implementation.
Mr. Tran Cam Tu acknowledged the outstanding efforts and results of the province in recent times, and also suggested that Lao Cai focus on promoting advantages in minerals, border gate economy, trade and services; synchronizing strategic breakthroughs with the general development orientation of the Central Government.
Regarding personnel, Mr. Tran Cam Tu emphasized that Lao Cai province needs to closely coordinate with central agencies, build an Executive Committee to ensure structure, quantity, composition and quality.
On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong respectfully thanked the Politburo for its attention and direction, affirming that he would fully absorb the document to complete it, best prepare for the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term.
