On the evening of May 3, a serious traffic collision occurred on Binh Thuan bridge (Ha Duy Phien street, Binh My commune, Ho Chi Minh City) between a 5-seater car and a motorbike. The incident killed 1 man on the spot and 2 others (including a 6-year-old child) were hospitalized in critical condition.
According to initial information, at about 7 pm on May 3, 2026, a 5-seater car with Ho Chi Minh City license plate was traveling on Ha Duy Phien street, heading from Hoc Mon to Cu Chi.
When moving to the middle of Binh Thuan bridge, the car suddenly collided with a motorbike traveling in the opposite direction. At the time of the incident, there were 3 people on the motorbike, including the man driving the vehicle carrying one person and a child about 6 years old.
The consequence of the strong collision was that the man driving the motorbike fell to the road and died on the spot. Functional agencies identified the deceased as Mr. H.T. P.
Two people traveling on the motorbike were thrown off the vehicle and suffered multiple injuries. Both victims were quickly taken to the emergency room in critical condition.
Immediately after receiving the news, Binh My Commune Police quickly arrived to blockade, protect the scene and regulate traffic. Currently, functional agencies are extracting security camera footage around the area and collecting witness statements to investigate and clarify the cause of the collision in accordance with the law.
