On the morning of June 19, the Fire and Rescue Police force quickly deployed a response plan after a collision occurred between two tanker trucks carrying chemicals on National Highway 51, passing through Phuoc Thai commune.
According to information from Fire and Rescue Team Area 4, this morning, the unit received a report about a traffic collision between two tanker trucks transporting Ethyl Acetate chemicals in the Long Phu hamlet area, Phuoc Thai commune, right in the Long Phu market area.
The incident caused a quantity of chemicals to spill onto the road surface, increasing the risk of fire and explosion as well as affecting traffic safety on roads with heavy traffic flow.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 4 dispatched 1 fire truck and 6 officers and soldiers to the scene quickly to deploy on-duty measures, ready to handle if a fire or explosion incident occurs.
At the scene, functional forces coordinated to monitor the situation, control the incident area and implement measures to ensure safety for people as well as vehicles passing through the area. Response work was urgently deployed to minimize risks arising from chemical leaks into the environment.
Thanks to the timely presence of functional forces, the situation at the scene was controlled, contributing to ensuring safety for residential areas and traffic activities on National Highway 51.
The cause of the collision is being further verified and clarified by functional agencies.
