In recent days, the large Ring Road 3 construction site in Ho Chi Minh City has entered the sprint race. While many sections of the shallow bridge belonging to bidding package XL3 have been smoothly asphalted, at "hot spots" such as XL4, XL5 and Tan Van intersection, thousands of workers and machinery are still diligently constructing "3 shifts, 4 crews", to be ready for traffic on April 30th.

Recorded along Ring Road 3 (the section passing through Thu Duc City before), the change of the project takes place every day. The most prominent is in bidding package XL3, the shape of a modern highway has been revealed. Currently, the dry bridge surface has been paved with a layer of hot black asphalt concrete, flat.
These are the first meters of asphalt road on the main Ring Road 3 East. Vehicles serving construction can now run smoothly on the new bridge surface at a stable speed. The soundproof glass wall system, railings and lighting are also being installed simultaneously, ready to integrate into the city's traffic network.
Not only XL3, the urgent working atmosphere also spread to neighboring bidding packages. In the area of bidding package XL4 and especially the Tan Van intersection (belonging to bidding package XL1), progress is being accelerated to the maximum.

Taking advantage of favorable weather, contractors mobilized all equipment to simultaneously construct complex items. Upstairs, groups of workers focused highly on rolling and installing, and guarding the bridge girders to soon connect the spans. Below, the sound of car engines rumbling non-stop, continuously compressing and treating the roadbed to prepare for the next layers of structure. The harmonious coordination between the upper and lower construction points created a bustling scene at the gateway connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Binh Duong.
The working atmosphere is also equally tense and fierce at bidding package XL5 (section through Long Binh ward), this is an important link connecting Ring Road 3 with Tan Van intersection.

Mr. Phan Huu Thao - Project Commander of Thien An contractor - said that this package has now reached more than 80% of the volume and is racing every hour to complete the remaining items. Nearly 100 workers and dozens of machinery and equipment are clinging to the construction site to carry out key construction points.
To ensure the milestone is opened to traffic on April 30, 2026, we organize continuous construction in 3 shifts, 4 teams, taking turns working 24/24 hours. All human resources and equipment are operating at full capacity, to ensure the progress committed to the investor," Mr. Thao affirmed.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Ring Road 3 project through Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh currently achieves a general output of over 70% of the entire 76.34km long route. In which, the 14.7km long overpass section passing through the eastern area of Ho Chi Minh City has reached over 80% of the volume and is expected to be opened to traffic before April 30, 2026. This is an important premise for the entire project to officially close and open to traffic synchronously on June 30, 2026.
