On October 15, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Van Lai (residing in village 2, the old Minh Son commune, now Trieu Son commune, Thanh Hoa province) said that his family had recently voluntarily dismantled the fence built across the yard of Minh Son Kindergarten, to facilitate the teaching and learning activities of the school.

At the end of September 2025, the People's Court of Region 3 (Thanh Hoa province) issued a verdict, determining that the demand for the rights of my family was legitimate and legal; at the same time, requesting the People's Committee of Trieu Son commune and Minh Son Kindergarten to return the entire 950m2 of land, along with a support amount for 11 years of using this land. After that, the parties agreed to follow the court's decision" - Mr. Lai said.
According to Mr. Lai, because the family's returned land now has a headquarters and 3 classrooms, while the locality has not yet arranged a new location, his family voluntarily demolished the fence to facilitate teaching.
A representative of Minh Son Kindergarten said that after many months, the retaining wall across the schoolyard has been dismantled, facilitating travel and teaching. The teachers also expressed their joy because they no longer have to take shortcuts to get into the headquarters and classrooms.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on the morning of June 8, Mr. Nguyen Van Lai hired workers to build a wall in the center of the yard of Minh Son Kindergarten.
The reason for the incident originated in July 2014, the People's Committee of the old Minh Son commune (now Trieu Son commune) agreed with Mr. Lai's family to exchange more than 950m2 of their family's residential land for another piece of land near the Commune Health Station to build the Minh Son Kindergarten's headquarters, serving the goal of meeting national standards.
After that, Mr. Lai's family handed over the land and received more than 50 million VND in site clearance support, with a written agreement. However, after 11 years, his family has not yet been allocated land as committed. Mr. Lai has repeatedly submitted petitions to the commune government and superiors but they have not been resolved, so a fence has been built in the middle of the schoolyard to claim his rights.
