On the morning of July 12, the Phu Quoc special zone government (An Giang) and functional forces organized the removal of the bodies of 15 unfortunate victims of the boat capsizing carrying tourists in the An Thoi sea area from the island.
The grief for the victims covered the farewell area at Phu Quoc Special Zone Medical Center. Dozens of officials, soldiers, doctors, and leaders of An Giang province and Phu Quoc special zone stood solemnly on both sides of the walkway, bowing their heads to see off ambulances carrying the bodies of the victims leaving the island to the mainland to complete the necessary procedures and hand them over to their families.
After efforts to save people, the rescue journey has closed. Each wheeled vehicle also shows the sharing and humanity of the local government in caring for the funerals of the victims. All work is carried out urgently with the spirit of responsibility, dedication and affection of the government, functional forces and people of Phu Quoc in the process of rescuing people, caring for victims and seeing off the deceased to their families.
The vehicle carrying the bodies of the victims moved ashore by private ferry from Bai Vong port to Ha Tien, continuing to move to Ho Chi Minh City for handover according to regulations.
Immediately after the serious canoe capsizing in the An Thoi sea area (Phu Quoc special zone, An Giang province) at noon on July 11, the work of mobilizing forces, racing against time to provide emergency care and health care for victims who are Indian nationals has been deployed at the highest level.
Currently, treatment and care for patients is the top priority, carried out with the highest urgency and humanity.
In addition to treatment, financial support and international diplomatic coordination are also being drastically and urgently implemented by local authorities under the direct direction of the Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee and leaders of Phu Quoc Special Zone.
