Dong Ngac Ward People's Committee (Hanoi) has reported on the case of a male student of the University of Mining and Geology falling into a sewer and dying at a flooded point in the ward.
Accordingly, at about 10 am on September 17, functional agencies received information reflecting that 1 motorbike was overturned near the manhole at the road connecting from the University of Mining and Geology to Nam Thang Long Industrial Park, and the driver was not detected around.
Immediately after receiving the information, Dong Ngac Ward People's Committee, Ward Police and functional forces were present at the above location, proceeding to protect the scene, verify information and implement handling measures according to regulations.
At about 11:20 am on September 18, functional forces found a male body floating at the mouth of the Nhue River, which is the end point of the drainage line, in Thuong Cat ward.
The victim was identified as Mr. N.D. S, a first-year student at the University of Mining and Geology, Hanoi.
After the incident occurred, representatives of the Dong Ngac ward government visited, expressed condolences, and encouraged the family.
According to Dong Ngac Ward People's Committee, the location of the man's manhole where the accident occurred belongs to the surface drainage system of the road connecting from the University of Mining and Geology to Nam Thang Long Industrial Park.
