In recent days, prolonged heat has made the domestic water source on Hon Chuoi Island (Ca Mau province) scarce. Receiving a request for support from people on the island, on March 25, the Command of Naval Region 5 organized free fresh water supply for people.
Accordingly, the Command of Naval Region 5 has dispatched ship 527, Naval Flotilla 512, Brigade 127, which is performing missions in the Southwest sea, to maneuver to approach Hon Chuoi island, deploying fresh water supply for the people.
Officers and soldiers of Ship 527 have supplied more than 40,000 liters of water to households on the island, and at the same time supported supplementing domestic water for many cages and fishing boats of fishermen operating in the area.

The water supply process was deployed quickly and closely, ensuring safety. Previously, when they heard the news that naval ships provided free water, people on the island proactively prepared tanks, drums, and plastic cans to receive it.
Timely freshwater supply activities not only help people on Hon Chuoi island stabilize their lives, but also create favorable conditions for fishermen to feel secure in going offshore, sticking to the sea, and sticking to the fishing grounds for a long time.
