On March 12, in Phu Quoc special zone, An Giang province, Brigade 127, Command of Naval Region 5 organized elections for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term for officers and soldiers in the unit.

In addition to the Tho Chau special zone, Brigade 127 is the unit allowed by the National Election Council to hold early elections compared to the general day of the whole country (March 15).

According to the Command of Naval Region 5, due to the specific nature of performing training, combat readiness and long-term duty at sea, the organization of early elections is to ensure that all soldiers in the unit fully exercise their civil rights and obligations.

To ensure that the election takes place seriously and in accordance with the law, in recent days, the Party Committee and Command of Brigade 127 have closely coordinated with local Party committees, authorities and functional agencies of the Region; focusing on leading and directing agencies and units to do a good job of propaganda and education about the meaning and importance of the election. Organizing for officers and soldiers to carefully study the biographies and action programs of candidates; carefully preparing facilities, decorating the polling area in accordance with regulations and implementing measures to ensure security and safety in the polling area.

Thanks to the thorough preparation and high sense of responsibility of officers and soldiers, early election work at Brigade 127 was carried out seriously, democratically, in accordance with the law and absolutely safely.
This is also an opportunity for officers and soldiers in the unit to promote civic responsibility, contribute to the overall success of the country festival, and at the same time continue to consolidate the determination to successfully complete the training and combat readiness tasks, firmly protect the sovereignty of the Southwest sea and islands of the Fatherland.
