Da Nang - Functional forces at Cu Lao Cham island overcame large waves caused by the tropical depression, coordinated to bring 2 patients to the mainland for timely emergency treatment.

According to initial information, on the afternoon of September 12, 2 cases of patients who needed to be quickly transferred to the mainland for specialized treatment appeared in Tan Hiep island commune.

However, due to the influence of the tropical depression, the weather in the Cu Lao Cham sea area fluctuates very violently, gusts of wind at level 7 - 8, strong rough seas. The harsh weather situation makes all conventional waterway transport vehicles on the island not safe enough to depart.

Faced with the emergency situation, the Military Command of Tan Hiep commune quickly coordinated with the Police and Border Guard forces of Cu Lao Cham to urgently report and propose support plans. With the timely direction and support from the Civil Defense Board (PTDS) of Da Nang city, a specialized emergency ship was quickly dispatched for support.

Despite the extremely unfavorable weather, the functional forces on the island closely coordinated, ensuring absolute safety during the movement, and put the 2 patients on an ambulance to transport them ashore.

Currently, the patients have been safely handed over to medical facilities in the mainland for continued treatment and health care. The smooth and timely coordination of the armed forces and local authorities has helped regain the "golden hour" of emergency care for people in the frontline island commune.
