On March 15, at Polling Station No. 58 of Coast Guard Region 4 Command, along with voters nationwide, 100% of officers and soldiers of the unit excitedly participated in the election of National Assembly Deputies of the 16th term and People's Council Deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term. The election work was organized seriously, in accordance with regulations, ensuring democracy and safety; and was synchronously deployed both on land and on ships performing tasks at sea.
Speaking at the opening ceremony in the election area, Major General Nguyen Van Dung - Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 4 Command - Head of the Election Steering Committee emphasized: The election of National Assembly Deputies of the 16th term and People's Council Deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term is an important political event of the country, demonstrating the people's right to mastery. For officers and soldiers of Coast Guard Region 4 Command, this is not only a right but also a political responsibility. Each officer and soldier needs to promote the spirit of responsibility, seriously and wisely exercise their citizens' rights and obligations, selecting worthy delegates, contributing to building a socialist rule-of-law state of the people, by the people and for the people.
From early morning, the atmosphere at Polling Station No. 58 of Coast Guard Region 4 Command took place solemnly and excitedly. Officers and soldiers throughout the Region Command took the opportunity to continue to carefully study the biographies and action programs of candidates to select typical delegates in terms of qualities, capacity, representing the will and aspirations of the People. After that, according to the specific and tight operating schedule of the Election Team, voters from agencies and units in the Phu Quoc Region Command completed the voting to ensure order, strictness, correct procedures and high combat readiness.
Along with that, due to the specific nature of the task of regularly operating for long days at sea, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command has proactively developed a plan, closely coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to organize elections for officers and soldiers on duty at ships at sea.
At the ships performing duties at sea, the election atmosphere took place urgently, seriously, and solemnly, even in stormy and harsh weather conditions. After listening to the dissemination of regulations and based on carefully studying the list of candidate biographies, each officer and soldier took turns voting to show their responsibility and trust in the State's power agencies. Coast Guard ship 6003 of Naval Flotilla 401, Coast Guard Region 4 Command and members of the Election Team were assigned the task of bringing auxiliary ballot boxes to each ship at sea to organize elections and successfully complete the task of returning to their units safely.
The organization of parallel elections on land and at sea has shown the spirit of responsibility and proactiveness of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command in performing political tasks; and at the same time affirmed the civic awareness and belief of officers and soldiers in the leadership of the Party and State.
