On July 27, the People's Committee of Kieu Phu commune, Hanoi simultaneously organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction and repair of 30 houses for people with meritorious services. Each household is supported with 100 million VND, of which Hanoi City supports 60 million VND, the People's Committee of the commune calls for socialized support of 40 million VND.
A representative of the People's Committee of Kieu Phu commune said that through the resistance wars of the ethnic group, the commune has 1,367 people with revolutionary contributions and martyrs' relatives; of which 850 people with meritorious contributions are receiving monthly allowances. With the attention of Party committees and authorities at all levels, the lives and incomes of meritorious people have been increasingly improved. However, up to now, there are still 51 meritorious households and relatives in the area with degraded houses that need support to repair and rebuild new ones.
According to Mr. Phan Trung Cuong - Vice Chairman of Kieu Phu Commune People's Committee, the construction and repair of houses for people with meritorious services and relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution is not only a responsibility, but also a deep affection and gratitude of the Party Committee, government and people of the whole country in general, Kieu Phu commune in particular for the great sacrifices and contributions of heroic martyrs, war invalids, sick soldiers and meritorious people.
To facilitate the project's start, complete on schedule, and ensure high quality, the People's Committee of Kieu Phu commune requires units to create all conditions and organize instructions for families of people with meritorious services and relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution to complete procedures and provide funding when the project is completed.
Cadres, party members and people in communes and villages promote the tradition of solidarity, join hands and create favorable conditions for the construction and repair of houses for people with meritorious services to be completed on schedule; strive to complete the construction and repair of 51 houses by October 2025, contributing to helping people with meritorious services and relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution in the area stabilize their lives.
