After verification, the authorities identified the male body drifting in Ha Long Bay that was salvaged this morning as Mr. Hoang Viet H (born in 1979), one of the three victims still missing at sea in the capsize of the tourist boat Vinh Xanh 58, license plate QN-7105 that occurred on July 19.
Currently, the victim's body has been handed over to his family for funeral arrangements.
Previously, at around 12:20 on July 22, after receiving a report from the people about the discovery of a male body drifting in Ha Long Bay, between Bai Chay beach and Dau Go cave, Hon Gai Border Guard Station mobilized forces and vehicles to be present at the scene, salvaged and brought the body to shore. The location where the body was discovered was about 500m from the location of the capsized ship in Ha Long Bay.
Thus, up to now, out of a total of 49 people on the Green Bay 58 ship that had an accident on the afternoon of July 19, the authorities have rescued 10 people, found 37 bodies and handed them over to their families. Currently, 2 victims are still missing and the search is still being urgently conducted.
