On July 27, Mr. Y Ngon Nie - Chairman of Ea Ktur Commune People's Committee (Dak Lak province) said that he had grasped information about a clip circulating on social networks, recording images suspected of having maggots in chicken at a housewarming party.
According to the Chairman of Ea Ktur Commune People's Committee, on July 28, the Commune People's Committee will work with relevant units to verify the incident and handle it if violations are detected.
Previously, a social media account posted a clip recording the scene of chicken being heated on the stove at a banquet table. In the clip, many animals suspected of being maggots crawl in the chicken meat when the dish was being cooked.
The video then attracted thousands of views, comments and shares on social networks.
According to research, the incident happened at a housewarming party in Ea Ktur commune with about 70 tables. The entire meal was provided by a family service establishment in the commune.
Representatives of the establishment said that the housewarming party was held on July 27 with about 70 trays of food, but only one tray had an incident.
According to this person, all the chickens used to prepare dishes were bought during the day at a point of sale at Trung Hoa market (Ea Ktur commune, Dak Lak province).
After purchase, chickens are pre-processed and boiled immediately according to the facility's processing process, not food left for many days.
Currently, the facility is coordinating with functional agencies to clarify the cause of the incident.
