The incident occurred at around 5:00 a.m. on November 22 at km50+800 of National Highway 37 at the intersection with Tran Noi Bridge, Thach Khoi Ward. At this time, the truck was driven by Mr. L.H.T (born in 1982, residing in Thanh Hoa province) on National Highway 37 in the direction from Gia Loc commune to Thach Khoi ward. When arriving at the above location, Mr. T's truck collided with and T.T.K (born in 1947) was walking on the road. As a result, Ms. K died at the scene.
According to the Traffic Safety Committee, in November 2025, there were 69 accidents in the area, killing 36 people and injuring 53 others. The number of accidents decreased by 19 compared to the same period, the number of injured people decreased by 14, and the number of dead increased by 1. Of which, there were 13 traffic accidents involving commercial vehicles, killing 4 people and injuring 7 others. 7 cases involving drivers with alcohol concentration caused 11 deaths; 14 cases involving students with school age caused 17 children to lose their lives.
